Serena Rupp attends Lawrence Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas.
Serena received six qualifying bids to the Tournament of Champions in 2020-2021. She was the third speaker at the Pine Crest Tournament and eighth speaker at the National Debate Coaches Association Tournament. Serena is in the National Honor Society and the Recruitment Chair for Debate and Forensics at Lawrence Free State High School.
Ram Gorthi attends Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California.
Ram reached the octafinals of the 2021 Tournament of Champions. He qualified with 5 bids by reaching the octafinals of the University of Michigan, Montgomery Bell Academy, and Glenbrooks Tournaments; quarterfinals of the Long Beach Invitational; and semifinals of the Arizona State Invitational.
Pranay Ippagunta attends Northview High School in Duluth, Georgia.
Pranay received 6 bids to the 2021 Tournament of Champions. He reached the semifinals of the University of Texas and University of Georgia tournaments, and quarterfinals of the Bronx Science and Grapevine tournaments. Pranay won top ten speaker awards at the University of Georgia, Grapevine, and University of Texas tournaments. He's on the Northview High School Honor Roll and part of the chamber orchestra and beta club.a
Lucas Lobo attends Calvert Hall School in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lucas earned six bids to the Tournament of Champions in 2020-2021 and made the semifinals of the New York City Debate and Speech tournament as well as the octafinals at the Blake School and University of Michigan tournaments. Outside of debate, he is a member of Calvert Hall’s National Honor Society and plays tennis.
John Marshall attends Lawrence Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas.
John has been involved in debate for three years at Lawrence Free State. Since being a freshman, debate has always been an expressive activity for me. I've met many new people from all over the country, which is one of my favorite parts of it. Debate is like a common language that allows you to instantly connect with others, which I find fascinating. I look forward to the Michigan camp, and the tournaments next year with my partner Serena.
Jack Pacconi attends Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jack was a Quarterfinalist at the 2021 Tournament of Champions, University of Michigan Tournament, and St. Mark's Tournament. He is heavily involved in politics, phone banking for Berne Sanders, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, and local Tennessee politicians. Jack is a philosophy nut, who is always reading.
Danielle Gu attends Liberal Arts & Science Academy in Austin, Texas.
Danielle received five bids to the 2021 Tournament of Champions. She reached the semifinals of the Emory University tournament and Bronx Science Invitational, and was the top seed at The Glenbrooks. Outside of debate, she is a member of the Liberal Arts and Science Academy band.
Clary Conry attends Minneapolis South High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Clara attends Minneapolis South High School. She reached the semifinals of the 2021 Tournament of Champions and won The Blake School tournament. She was the 18th speaker at the TOC, second speaker at St. Mark's, and the 15th speaker at the Emory University tournament.
Benjamin Sayer attends Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia.
Benjamin has received 14 bids to the Tournament of Champions over the past three years, won the Pace Academy Round Robin, the Trevian Invitational and was 6th speaker at the 2021 Tournament of Champions. Outside of debate, he holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Ashna Ghanate attends Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ashna has been debating since 7th grade in both middle and high school debate. She won the Niles and University of Georgia tournaments, and made it to the finals of the Meadows School Tournament. Ashna was also a semifinalist at the 2021 National Debate Coaches Association tournament.
