Lisa helped me untangle and assess whatever challenge I was facing and find the big picture. I always left our sessions feeling empowered and supported to take the next step in my business, overcome a hurdle in my marathon training, or to simply celebrate the victory Lisa helped me achieve.

ABOUT

Tell me something. Where do you want to be in 3 months? In 6 months? Chances are, you have big goals and dreams. You want to come back strong and crush your goals.

Lisa Grefe, Founder of The Comeback Project has always dreamed big and empowered people to discover the potential within their minds. She was an elite athlete, played semi-pro soccer, and was a First Team All-American Goalkeeper in college and inducted into her College Hall of Fame in 2014. She has a passion for psychology, coaching, and leadership and completed her Masters in Psychology, specializing in Athletic Counseling, along with a Masters in Leadership Development. Lisa has worked in athletics for over 15 years, focused on the personal development and well-being of the athlete on and off the field of play. Lisa was also named the All Iowa Soccer Coach of the Year in 2017,

Lisa's story is a great example of how anybody can rise above life's challenges and come out stronger on the other side.

From a serious ACL injury in college basketball to a devastating diagnosis a couple of years ago, Lisa has had her share of obstacles to overcome.

Four years ago she was diagnosed with a neurological condition called Chiari Malformation that left her homebound, in horrible pain, and living in a chair. She underwent surgery, hopeful for a better quality of life.

Since then, Lisa has been on a powerful healing journey of her own and is ready to share what she has developed with other people.

Testimonials

I first came to Lisa as an injured runner wanting to work through the mental barriers I was experiencing while returning to my sport. Our work quickly transitioned into other areas of my life. Each meeting brought up challenges and concerns I was facing as a new business owner, and as an adult navigating the many peaks and valleys of life. Lisa helped me untangle and assess whatever challenge I was facing and find the big picture. I always left our sessions feeling empowered and supported to take the next step in my business, overcome a hurdle in my marathon training, or to simply celebrate the victory Lisa helped me achieve.

Rachel-Entrepreneur and Runner

"I had knee surgery in the spring of my freshman year. I struggled a bit with my recovery and was nervous to come back in the fall because I wasn't sure if I would be 100%. I just wanted to be the goalkeeper I was before surgery. Lisa helped me focus on the small victories. We also talked about my frustrations and worked on positivity. She helped me become more relaxed at practice and the more we worked on positivity and visualization my confidence grew."

Zoe- College Athlete

"Lisa has an unique ability to connect with people when they are at their most vulnerable and lift them up to new heights. With her vast experience as an athlete, coach, and mindset coach, and through her own personal successes and challenges, she brings the total package to those that are lucky enough to work with her. If you get the chance to work with Lisa, TAKE IT and get ready to push yourself to a new level".
